Cameron Park is unincorporated El Dorado County, developed mostly from the 1960s through the 1980s as one of the earlier foothill communities along the Highway 50 corridor. The housing stock is closer in age to Fair Oaks than to the newer El Dorado Hills development nearby, but the terrain is different: sloped, often larger lots, and a mix of municipal sewer and, in some older pockets, septic systems that predate the current infrastructure.

Failing galvanized supply lines needed replacement in a home with a crawlspace that wasn't flat like a standard slab-on-grade property.
