DHS Plumbing · Community Outreach

We care about our community.

Every truck that pulls into your driveway is driven by someone who lives within thirty miles of it. We shop at the same hardware stores, our kids go to the same schools, and we run into our customers at the grocery store on a Saturday. That is not a marketing angle. It is the reason we do the work the way we do, because there is nowhere to hide from a job done badly in a town this size.

We are an American company. We buy American-made components wherever they exist and are genuinely the better part, and we say so plainly when they are not. We pull permits. We pay our people properly. We do the version of the job we would want done at our own house.

And we show up for the neighborhood beyond the invoice. We keep a portion of every month open for at-cost emergency work for veterans, active-duty families, and neighbors caught between a failure and a paycheck. If that is you, say so when you call. Nobody will ask you to prove anything.

Who we look after

We take care of the people who took care of everyone else.

We support our veteran population with the best solution we can build and the best rate we can give on it. Not a stripped-down version of the job, the right repair, priced as close to the bone as we can run it.

Veterans
The best possible solution and the best possible rate on it. We size and spec the job the same way we would for anyone, then take our margin down rather than taking shortcuts out of the scope. If you served, tell whoever answers the phone.
Service members
Active duty, reserve, and National Guard. Ask about the discount when you call or when we are standing in your utility room writing the estimate. It applies either way.
Law enforcement
Same standing ask. Officers and the departments around Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado counties, just say so and we will apply it to the written estimate before you decide.
Teachers
Classroom teachers and school staff. You are in the same category for us as the people above, and for the same reason.

Ask. That is the whole process. There is no form, no verification packet, and no proof required, and the estimate is free either way, so asking costs you nothing even if you decide not to book. This is separate from the at-cost emergency work described above, which has no qualifying step at all.

Community questions we hear most.

Veterans, active-duty families, and neighbors caught between a failure and a paycheck. There's no application and no proof required, you don't have to qualify for anything, you just have to say so when you call.

Call (916) 769-2116 and tell whoever answers that money is tight right now. That's the whole process. We keep a portion of every month open for this kind of work, no markup and no upsell attached.

Once a year we run free checks at the Citrus Heights senior center. We look at venting, the temperature setting, and the relief valve, and fix the small things on the spot, no charge, no follow-up sales call.

We've sponsored a Little League team in Orangevale since 2021. It pays for uniforms and field time, not a banner with our name ten feet tall. The kids know us as the plumbing truck that shows up to opening day.

Two emails a month. Both useful.

Seasonal shutoff reminders, descaling schedules, and what we're actually seeing in Sacramento-area homes this month. No sales blasts.
