Owner & Founder

Ben Douglass

22 years in the trade · Lives in Fair Oaks

Ben started as an apprentice at seventeen and still runs tankless installs himself, most weeks. He's the one who wrote the descaling schedule this company uses, after replacing enough scaled-out units to know the manufacturer's default interval doesn't hold up against Sacramento's water.

Ask him about the job that made him start his own company: a water heater installed by a competitor with a gas line sized for a unit half the size, in a house two streets over from his own.

The family behind the truck

A family business, literally.

DHS is not a franchise and not a call center. When you book, you are hiring a family that lives in the same neighborhoods it works in.

[ FAMILY NAME / HEADLINE ]

[ Two or three sentences about Ben's family in his own words: who they are, how long they have been in the area, and what they do around the business. Keep it to what Ben is comfortable publishing. ]

[ Optional second paragraph: the family's connection to the trade, or to the service area. ]

What customers say about Ben

The owner does the work, and it shows.

Ben measured our gas meter and traced the vent path before he would put a number on anything. Two other companies quoted us over the phone without seeing the house. He was the only one who found that our line needed upsizing, which is the whole reason the unit works right.

He talked me out of a repipe. Ran the camera, showed me the footage on his screen, and said the pressure problem was one failed valve, not the whole house. Fixed it that afternoon. I have never had a contractor argue themselves into a smaller job before.
Marcus ReyesFair Oaks
Ben showed up himself, on time, and explained the descaling interval for our water in plain language instead of quoting a manual at me. The written estimate matched the final invoice exactly. That is rarer than it should be.
